Working on backgrounds. (1 Viewer)

I am really enjoying my garden bird photography at the moment. I am beginning to get a few different birds on the perch and I am now working on improving the background and the perch.
The background is actually a large piece of hardboard that has been painted. To begin with I just tried splodging paint on with a brush, but I was not entirely happy with the results. I have now invested in an airbrush kit and I am having fun learning to use it.
The board sits about four feet behind the perch and is lit by a flash unit hidden behind the perch. It is easy to alter the power of this unit to give different effects.
I managed a few more decent shots yesterday and will have another go tomorrow. 1816BAEB-431F-4DE4-92F1-8E8226AA4830.jpeg18070B9D-2721-4B03-9B0C-30C0778F902B.jpeg
