Yes.

But I believe the query was - if he is in transit in Singapore on 27 December then where has he flown from and where will he be flying to? No news today so presumably in an area without decent Wifi?

OK Paul, see what you mean. We can only wait for his news, intriguing but I'm sure he has made a plan good enough to get him to about 6,010. No news could also mean he's had a long flight? We'll see soon enough.

Flying NZ via Singapore isn't logical for Fiji, Samoa, New Cal - what is going on?!

cheers, a

Singapore is not till the 27th, there is a 3 day space (for Melanesia?). An out of the way location might explain the loss of twitter updates.
Plus another 4 days after the Singapore stopover.
It will be an interesting week.

Actually, he's turned up in southwest Western Australia, with six additions yesterday, all but one of which would be lifers for me!

Ebird shows yet another full day birding around W Australia. Maybe more than a dozen for the list - Too much bubbly to be sure - Merry Christmas to followers of this thread and mainly to Noah for the entertainment!

Echo that!

Merry Christmas

Bourke's Parrot's a good one to get for sure. I remember poking around the Paynes Find area looking (unsuccessfully) for Grey Honeyeater, as they're sometimes there apparently.

Nutcracker

Stop Brexit!
My guess would be Japan - must be a fair few NE Asian winter species he could get there. Go out in a blaze of glory with Steller's Sea Eagle as last bird of the year?
