I hope I'm posting this in the right category...
Anyhow, recently I hung a bird house that I built myself. As it wasn't very well made, I didn't really think anything would live in it, and figured it would just be for decoration. However, one day I peeked inside of it and saw sticks piled up in there! There was no door I could open to see if there were eggs, and if there was I probably wouldn't have opened it as to not disrupt the bird's home, but I kept an eye on it.
One day, there was a terrible storm and the bird house fell (it was tied to a tree branch, but if I had known it was going to be a real house for a bird I would've secured it more). I only noticed the house was down a day after the storm. When I peeked inside the house, there was an egg shell sticking out. I was horrified! When I took a better look in it later, shining a flashlight in it for countless minutes trying to see if there were more eggs in there, there were. Two of them, to be precise. I only wish they didn't have to die.
