I live in a small town near the foothills of the Wind Rivers in Wyoming, USA. I've had feeders in my yard for several years, but this year I am (happily) surrounded by Lazuli Buntings--up to 7-8 at a time and at all times during the day.
I'm also seeing a pulse of Pine Siskins.
Most of my other birds are the usual for around here: House Sparrows, House Finches, Black-Capped Chickadees, Common Grackles, Eurasian Collared Doves, and a resident Red-Breasted Nuthatch.
Is anyone else seeing unusual populations of the buntings or siskins in their areas?
