Fair enough but I've always gone with true hybrid ducks being ducks with 2 clearly different parents. I.E Mallard/Wigeon, Mallard/Gadwall etc and the recent Scaup/Tuftie at Carsington.
In my eyes a lot of these dodgy looking Mallard types aren't hybrids as both parents are from Mallard origin.
There are certainly some large fish in the main pool. The ducklings have enough to contend with with Herons, Corvids, and maybe Mink and Otter never mind Pike. And talking of young, Coots had young on the top pool as of Wednesday.
