Hi again,
This was taken last week, in the Andean foothills of Pasco, central Peru, elevation about 1000 masl.
I'm reasonably confident it's a Xiphorhynchus. I want to say Olive-backed (based mainly on well, the olive color of the back, though I'd be more confident if it weren't quite so streaked). But the more I look at it, the more I wonder if it's not the Andean subsp of Ocellated (i.e., Tschudi's?). What say the experts, are the photos enough to tell for sure?
As always, the bloody thing was perfectly silent.
Many thanks in advance!
