Can someone please confirm 1 + 2 is a juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, while 3 is a male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker? Taken in Sep in Ste-Adele Quebec.
Thanks
Chris

The Bird Nuts

Birding Duo
Birds that are coming out of juvenile plumage (their first set of feathers) are no longer juveniles. Even if they have just one new feather coming in, they are considered immature at that point.
