YL Gull? Abbey Farm, Norfolk, UK (1 Viewer)

One photo shows two Gulls - A Lesser Black-backed and another. Is this a YL Gull or just a pale LBB? It looks like YL to me, but I'm rubbish with gulls! The second photo is of the same bird.

are they paired? that again would produce irritating looking offspring...

They seemed so. They were together on two different days that we called in, and they were the only two large gulls present.

OK. I don't do gulls but remarkably different mantle shades in the two photos. How would you eliminate a Lesser Black-backed Gull x Herring Gull hybrid for the bird in the first photo:-

The pale bird in the first photo is the same bird that is in the second photo. In the first photo, the light was a little different.
