Fake tales of Yorkshire Birding fill the room
Even good birds in Lincs fail to lift the gloom
Your'e not from Hull City really your from Rotherham
So get of the bandwagon and put down the handbook ;)
(with apologies to the arctic monkeys)

Both left the daytime roost tonight and flew down Lin Dyke. I just managed to get them both on a smash and grab raid. The juv. was seen sat for a while before it flew. The adult wasn't on view but quickly followed the juv. a few minutes later.

Little Owl on post between main reception and duck feeding layby.

Chimney Swift!

Found in York this morning by Andy Booth on his way to work. Watched on and off between 9-10 AM over the river and Rowntree Park. It went AWOL for 4 hours but has been relocated just south of the city centre this afternoon over Piccadily near the junction of the ring road and the A19.

Only the third county record and a bit of a grip back on the two short stayers at Spurn. Perhaps this one will roost on the Minster? B :) B :)

Horrendous dip. See the thread. Mind you Graham is in the York Press!

Was thinking of going for the bird but thats as far as it got. Might be tempted if its found again over the weekend (Flamborough would be good).

BTW Good luck for tomorrow James. Hope the day goes well. Probably a good idea to turn off your mobile in the church in case the little sh1t turns up again.

Good Luck James for the Big Day!

I missed the chimberly swift last night too, that bridge will look real smart when they put the other side up won't it!
