For anyone that missed this first time round.

Thought I'd put a quick note on here to make sure anyone who wants to come to Russell Slack's funeral tomorrow knows the details;

Russell's funeral will take place on Friday 15th March at 1pm(tomorrow), at St. Helen's Church, Wheldrake and afterwards a celebration of his life at the Swallow Hotel, Crockey Hill Golf Course

At Russell's request no black/tie or suits. Please come casually dressed.

Donations will be taken for Macmillans and local Wheldrake Trust (details to follow, but to involve support for the LDV and academic courses involving Ornithology).

Please pass this message onto anyone who may want to come, thanks.

I hope everything went as well it could yesterday. Thoughts with Russ's family.

Nice selection at Fairburn this morning; Green Wood, Jay, Treecreeper, Nuthatch, loads of Siskin giving nice photo. opp. Reed Bunting, Bullfinch, Goldfinch, Long-tailed Tit etc.

Got a nice shot of the Treecreeper - it's on a feeder but it looks just like it's going up a Silver Birch. Cheating but it works!

I think it was close to Methley bridge, try the Swillington Twitter feeds. I deleted them from my phone last night so I'm going from memory which could well be wrong. However I've not received any tweets about the bird today.

It was 1st reported at 5pm to the hide and then relocated 100 yards west of methley bridge, inside the chain link fence (on site) by the big boulder. It was last seen about 6pm when it hopped on the the fence & down out of view presumably to roost. Not heard of any reports today though.

Lovely photo doc. I went for a walk to bolton abbey. on Tuesday and saw 2 males displaying then a male and a female in courtship display. Lots of treecreeper singing. Wish I could have got photos to capture the moment
