Birding Bob

Hi all,
I saw the Collard Prtincole this morning. First sighting at Salthouse but a very short and poor view. Then 10mins later got off the bus at cley walked up the hill and the bird was 20ft above me, then it flew west.

Well done Robert. I got the bird yesterday, but just after it was found, so it was sitting half obscured behind a tuft of tall grass at Salthouse! It must have roosted there...I also got the Kentish Plover pretty well and 2 Temminck's Stints. Walked Blakeney Point for a few Wheatears, a Whinchat, 3 Whitethroats, a Reed Warbler, 2 Willow Warblers and a Chiffchaff! Also missed the Citrine Wagtail whilst I was on the point! Then failed with Wood Warbler at Weybourne and Hoopoe at Great Ryburgh!
Still managed a lifer though, so very happy!
What else did you get today? Im guessing the place was absolutely packed!

Cheer Mr sim

Salthouse was packed 100 odd people I fink. Cley was busy for about 20 minutes then most people went for the Hoopoe.

The afternoon was very very quite.

There seemed to be a lot of common sands around 2day. Did anyone else notice or was it just me?

0h and two LRP's from North hide.

When I got to the Pratincole about 10 mins after it was found, people were already flooding in! By the time I left, I'd say at least 150 people were there! Again, a case of more observer coverage meaning more birds are found. Cley had the Citrine Wagtail and Kentish Plover, so loads of people went to have a look, and consequently a Collared Pratincole was found!

Thats the thing with not putting your real name as your display name - people don't know what gender you are! I had no idea you were a girl! But yes, I think you are the only one...doesn't really make any difference though.

I never look at anyone's profiles so I never know...doesn't matter as I said, and as James said, don't be embarrassed...
