I'm glad you're having a great time in Wales Marcus, hope you managed to see Chough and I will look forward to hearing more about your trip! :t:
Good luck simmojunior, hope you see the Stilt Sand even though by accounts it seems to be quite elusive, and that you manage some decent sea-watching off Portland. I saw a Stilt Sand at Strathbeg back in 2009. It wasn't in full breeding plumage like the Lodmoor bird is but it was still a brill bird.
There's a White-rumped Sandpiper currently on the Ythan Estuary. Happen to be going birding tomorrow anyway so will make this the priority to see/have a look for during the day. I wonder if this is the Salthome bird having moved up the coast, or a different bird? The latter is probable but would be interesting if it was the former. Will be a lifer if I manage to see it.
Also, I know it sounds ridiculous but I have just finished accounting the first day of my Norfolk trip back in April on my blog. I am a long way behind with it due to exams, but I'm trying to get it up to date as quickly as I can. It was a fab day, so it would be much appreciated if you could give it a read or some feedback through commenting. If any of you do that, thank you very much! I'm also writing my trip report on my recent trip to Islay and Mull at the moment which I am hoping to have completed by the next couple of weeks, will do a post on here when that is finished. o
