Nice Goldcrest picture. Have had them in my Garden (2+ with 2 Coal tits) all of tonight, but they have been too quick for a good photo.

Very nice Wiktoria! I have not had any new lifers in a while but today was very good. I saw loads of Yellow-rumped Warblers, Eastern Phoebes, and a Yellow-billed Cuckoo...I thought the cuckoo would be gone by now but I guess this one decided to linger...

A few pictures from the Garden yesterday:

(Goldcrests were in and out of the water so fast, that a poor record shot was all i could manage - happy to get a Goldcrest shot though, my first ever!!!)

Nice pics! I really like the Goldecrest! Is that the same bird as the Golden-crowned Kinglet we have here in the States?

Thanks Accipter. And No, Goldcrest is a different species to Golden-crowned kinglet. Goldcrest is Regulus Regulus, and Golden-crowned kinglet is Regulus satrapa. Although i imagine they are very closely related!

Yeah theose cuckoos are still around Bobby. Even up here in NY I had two unidentified ones this week.

Oh, and I think the Ruffled Feathers version of this thread has done in this one. Shows you that kids will be kids... ;)

Thanks nick patel and birderbf...
birderbf: Yeah I guess you are right... ;)

Speaking of them cuckoos, I was QUITE upset to see my second unidentified cuckoo FROM A CAR today, and the third UnID'd one this week. I had never seen a cuckoo from a car before last Sunday. Now here's number 2.

B :)

I kind of have a problem on my hands...Cornell's site All About Birds states that the Black-billed Cuckoo breeds in all of North Carolina. The Sibley Field Guide To Birds of Eastern North America says the BBC breeds only in North Carolina's mountains....so....who is right...Sibley or the Cornell Lab of Ornithology?

Hey everyone, I figured I should introduce myself. I'm from Ontario, Canada and am 16. I have been birding from pretty much the day I was born. I have currently seen 307species in Ontario and 727 worldwide. It'll be great to get to know some of you.
