Hey everyone. I'm looking for a shy reclusive species that I'd love to add to my new yearlist. If anyone has seen any Passer domesticus, please give me a heads up.

It's true one week and 93 species later I still haven't seen a HOSP in '08. So now in light of the interesting event I decided to see how long I could go without spotting one!

Not at all! Perfect habitat for HOSP, and I usually have two large flocks grazing just outside. Chances are I'll bump into them one morning, when I'm too groggy to realize I'm not supposed to be looking at them.

Yup HOSP is an abbreviation I turn to when I got bored.

Update: today I walked by two small flocks of HOSPs, but kept my head low and avoided seeing them! This stupid obsession is going to get me hit by a car soon...

I have only heard them so far- they are hard to get on my list at first and last year it took me till the end of January to get House Sparrow- and I was trying very hard- wonder how long it would have taken if I didn't look for them specifically.

You must have some ours! There's plenty, and they are bluebirds and martins worst nightmares.

I couldn't avoid them for much longer, and ran into the them the day after my last post if I'm not mistaken.

On Sunday I observed syrian woodpecker :) during control of mallards wintering in parks in cities.
