I photographed a group of common myna on Friday and it was only when I got home and looked at the pictures on Saturday did I realise one was a bank myna.
I know they are only ducks, and ducks are easy, right? But theses guys always seem to hang around at the far side of reservoirs and I lack the essential piece of equipment for viewing them.
My latest Lifer was a Western Violet-backed Sunbirds in the Bakoutuku aea of Gambia on 20/02/2012.
However this was one of 133 Lifers seen in Gambia & Senegal which included such goodies as Northern Carmine Bee-eater, Martial Eagle, Greater Painted Snipe, Egyptian Plover and many many more.
