Hello.I have been offered a 30*** serial Zeiss FL 10x42 in good shape and I am considering purchasing it.I got a great deal on a Swaro SLC NEU 10x42 a couple weeks ago but the seller never sent the item(got my money back,I think he got a better offer after my payment went through),so i have the € and I have been wanting a higher power bino for a.while now.First of all the 30*** serial..Should be Lotutec right?..Then.. i had a non lotutec FL 8x32 years ago.Loved everything about it, and could live with the field curvature .The center resolution was so satisfying,but..could not live with the bluish hue ..You think the Lotutec 10x42 its any better in terms of color rendition?..lastly..What a used unit of this glass costs in today's marketplace...?
Thanks

That s/n sounds fairly early for Lotutec but in any case the view won't change, and the 42 should have a similar neutral/cool appearance to the 32. A sane price for FLs today is probably around $1100 but more is asked where commissions are involved. It sounds like you may prefer an SLC; the 2010 HD version is best.
