Thanks for the additional information.  The Nikon SE is an excellent binocular and considered by some here as a reference standard. The fact that you notice a nice improvement in the SF says a lot for the SF.  I am assuming your SE is also an 8X so the increase in FOV from 393 ft to 444 ft must be quite nice.  The Allbinos website shows the SE at about 89% light transmission compared to the Zeiss figure of 92% for the SF.  That may be enough of a difference for the SF to appear brighter to you.   For what it is worth, I did not take the 20 minute statement literally.  The phraseology of "it is as if" said to me that it seems like 20 minutes, not that it actually was 20 minutes.  I do not know why some got hung up on that.  Anyway, thanks for sticking with us and I hope you will post more comments after you spent some more time with the new SF.  Congratulations on your purchase.</blockquote>
