Identification
Distribution
South America: found in arid coastal north-western Peru (Tumbes to La Libertad). Has been recorded in Ecuador as a vagrant.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Arid areas often on sandy ground with shrub and sometimes small trees. Found from the coast to 300 m asl.
