Looking for a travel lens, that was relatively small.

I have used this lens for two months and have no problems todate. Lens has a locking switch that is a bit small for big hands and only locks in the 70mm setting. Good results obtained at all stages and appatures.up:

Pros

  • small
  • relatively light
  • good optics.

Cons

  • price

Agree with Bryan but wanted to add in a comment about the superb IS and quick auto focus. Too short a focal length for dedicated bird photos but good to take "on spec" where you would leave a longer lens behind because of weight , bulk and the need for a tripod with a big lens.

Pros

  • Small
  • relatively light
  • good optics
  • focus speed
  • IS

Cons

  • Price
  • small zoom ring.
