Treron calva

Identification

Grey green to yellow green upperparts, yellow thighs, mauve patches on the top of the wing, bills are red at the base white at the tip, red feet.

Distribution

Sub-Saharan Africa.

Habitat

Dense foliage in woodland, especially riverine and fig forest.

Behaviour

Arboreal.

The diet includes fruit, particularly figs.

The nest is a frail platform of coarse twigs and leaves. 1-2 eggs are laid and incubated for 13 days.
