Distribution
Central America: found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras

- Highlands of southern Mexico (Chiapas) to Guatemala and El Salvador
- L. a. nobilis:
- Highlands of Honduras
- L. a. margaritae:
In addition, L. a. brevirostris is recognised by some authors[2]
