Distribution

Western and Southern Africa: found in Angola and Namibia.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• C. b. benguelensis:

• Extreme coastal south-western Angola and northern Namibia

• C. b. kaokoensis:

• Brandberg Mountains (southern Angola and northern Namibia)

Habitat

Savanna grasslands.

Behaviour

Diet

The diet includes insects.

Breeding

The 2 or 3 white eggs are laid in a ground nest which is built from straw and leaves.
