Picumnus nigropunctatus

Identification

Pale pure yellow underparts with sparse black dots on lower breast, belly and undertail coverts, black crown with narrow scarlet streaks on forepart and conspicuous white dots on rear part, upperparts are light olive-brown, slightly yellowish, with dusky spots on the shoulders and back.

Distribution

Venezuela.

Habitat

Bushes or trees, near water or waterlogged coastal lowlands, below 100m.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects.
