Distribution
Central America: endemic to Panama.
Taxonomy
This species is sometimes included in Gray-headed Dove (Leptotila plumbeiceps)[1].
Subspecies[2]
There are 2 subspecies:
- L. b. battyi:
- Isla Coiba (off south-central Panama)
- L. b. malae:
- Pacific slope of Panama (southern Veraguas and w Herrera); Cébaco Island
Habitat
High woodlands and forest, swamps.
