Genus: Babax
Description
This genus contains the three Babax from China and the Himalayas. They are superficially reminiscent of the Turdoides-Babblers as they have a streaky brown, buff and grey plumage and a rather long, decurved bill. The bill also resembles that of the Scimitar-Babblers of the genus Pomatorhinus.
The song of the three species is a simple series of whistles.
