Genus: Sericulus

Description

Four species of Bowerbirds from New Guinea and Australia.
Males have a black-and-yellow plumage, females look very different, usually drab olive-brown.
All four species build avenue bowers to attract females.

Taxonomy

Sericulus is a genus in the family Ptilonorhynchidae.
All four species are closely related to each other and possibly form a superspecies.
