Distribution

Asia: found in Russia, eastern Siberia, Mongolia, southern China, south-eastern Tibet, Nepal, India
Southeast Asia: winters to Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Bradypterus.

Habitat

Temperate forest.
