Zosterops natalis

Identification

11-13 cm

  • Dull green upperparts
  • Greyish-white underparts
  • White eye ring
  • Dull brown primaries, secondaries and tail, edged green
  • Black lores
  • Pale yellow undertail coverts
  • Chestnut iris (grey in juvenile)
  • Black bill
  • Grey lower mandible

Distribution

Christmas Island, (east Indian Ocean). Introduced Cocos (Keeling) Island.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and shrubland. Also found in residential areas.
