Identification

10cm

  • Grey head and nape
  • Brown back
  • Cinnamon-rufous rump and tail
  • Cinnamon underparts
  • Dark grey legs

Distribution

Throughout northern South America: found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.

Habitat

Terra firme forest and appears to be particularly associated with white sand forest also dry shrubland.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects.
