Distribution
Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay.
Taxonomy
Two subspecies are recognized1: lanceolata and saturata.
Habitat
Dry shrubland, dense thorny undergrowth and forests.
Behaviour
It builds a globe shaped, closed nest, with a side entrance from grass. 2 eggs are laid and incubated for 16-17 days; the young fledge 14-15 days later.
