Identification

Length 11-12 cm. A very dark Batis; has a well-defined white eyebrow.

Western Africa: Cameroon, Angola
Eastern Africa: Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya

Subspecies erlangeri is sometimes split as a separate species Western Black-headed Apalis.[2]
