- Andes of western Venezuela (Táchira)
Green-bellied Hummingbird (Copper-tailed) - cupreicauda Group
- A. v. cupreicauda:
- A. v. duidae:
- Tepuis of southern Venezuela (Mlount Duida)
- A. v. laireti:
- Tepuis of southern Venezuela (Cerro de la Neblina)
The second group is sometimes considered a full species.
Habitat
Tropical and submontane forest edges.

Their diet consists of nectar and insects.
