Western Africa: Mauritania, Senegambia, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania
African Islands: Gulf of Guinea Islands, Bioko (Fernando Po)

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• H. p. prasina:

• Senegambia east to southern South Sudan, Uganda, western Kenya, and northwestern Tanzania, south to central Angola and central Democratic Republic of the Congo

• H. p. poensis:

• Bioko (Gulf of Guinea)

Habitat

Lowland and montane forests.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of insects, ants, grasshoppers, beetles and butterflies, etc.
