Identification
10–11 cm (4-4½ in)
- Notice the crown pattern
- Bright grey median crown stripe
- Black lateral crown strip
- Eye-ring thinly broken at the rear
Distribution
This species is found in Northern Myanmar and southwestern China to northern Thailand, wintering to Indonesia
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This is one of six species that used to be considered one under the name of Golden-spectacled Warbler. After the split, the other five are Green-crowned Warbler, Martens's Warbler, Alström's Warbler, Whistler's Warbler, and Bianchi's Warbler.
Habitat
Montane forest over 2000m.
Behaviour
Diet
Little has been recorded. They forage for insects in the understorey often making short flights.
