Porzana palmeri

Identification

Extinct. Laysan Crake Porzana palmeri was found in grass tussocks and thickets on Laysan Island, Hawaii, USA, from where it became extinct between 1923 and 1936 as a result of habitat destruction by rabbits and guinea pigs introduced by guano diggers.
