Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• S. n. napensis:

• Amazon system islands (south-eastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, north-eastern Peru and western Brazil)

• S. n. bahiae:

• River islands in eastern Brazil (Pernambuco and Bahia)

Stigmatura [undescribed form]:

• Venezuela (Orinoco delta)

Habitat

Caatinga.
