Southern Africa: Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal, Lesotho, Swaziland

Habitat

Swamps, wetlands, reed and sedge beds

Behaviour

Normally skulkers, these birds sometimes call from higher up on bulrushes or reeds.
