Identification

Length 13.5 cm. Olive-green above and yellow below, yellow stripe above eye, large parrot-like bill and a very short tail. Female Parrotbills are duller in colour and have a smaller bill.

Distribution

Windward East Maui, Hawaii.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Rainforests.

Behaviour

Diet includes insect larvae.
