Distribution

Andes of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.

Taxonomy

Three subspecies are recognized:

  • U.j. saturata
  • U.j. jelskii
  • U.j. pallida

Habitat

Subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
