Overview

Sharm el Sheik is an Egyptian town in the far south of the Sinai Peninsula. It is becoming increasingly popular as a birding destination.

Notable Species

Sooty Falcon, Long-legged Buzzard, Barbary Falcon, Griffon Vulture and Cinereous Bunting are some of the special birds of this area.

Areas of Interest

Nabq Protected Area which lies to the north of Naama Bay, is an excellent area for waders.
