Identification

  • Dark grey upperparts
  • Brownish cap
  • Light grey tail with broad black bars

Similar Species

Grey-mantled Wren does not overlap in range.

Distribution

South America: found in the lowlands of Amazonian Brazil south of the Amazon and in eastern Bolivia.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.

Behaviour

Mostly a species of canopy. Quite often joins mixes species flocks
