Includes Eastern, Northern and Western Wattled Honeyeater

Identification

Distribution

Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, and Wallis and Futuna Islands.

Taxonomy

Three subspecies recognized, each of them accepted as full species by Clements:

  • F. c. procerior (Western Wattled Honeyeater) on western and central Fiji Islands
  • F. c. taviunensis (Northern Wattled Honeyeater) on north-central Fiji Islands
  • F. c. carunculatus (Eastern Wattled Honeyeater) on eastern Fiji Islands, Samoa and Tonga

Habitat

Moist lowland forests, mangrove forests and montanes.
