Identification

11·5 cm (4½ in)

  • Orange-yellow forehead
  • Faint yellow supercilium
  • Brownish olive-green upperparts
  • Yellow crown and nape
  • Black spot in front of eye
  • Dark eyes
  • Greyish-blue legs

Distribution

Indonesia: Lesser Sundas (Sumbawa, Flores, Komodo, Sumba and Lomblen)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1]..

Habitat

They are usually to be found in coastal savanna, as well as coffee and cashew plantations.

Behaviour

Diet

They feed in fruiting and flowering trees, but there is no information available about their diet.

Breeding

They lay brown-spotted pale blue eggs.
