Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- C. f. hypophaeus:
- Montane forests of western Panama (Volcán Chiriquí to Veraguas)
- C. f. marginatus:
- C. f. flavigularis:
- Andes of central Colombia to eastern Ecuador and eeastern Peru (Cuzco)
Habitat
Humid to wet mossy forests, forest edges and secondary growth.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of berries, fruit and some insects.
