Identification
8·5–9 cm (3¼-3½ in)
- Grey upperparts, with brownish tinge
- Pale grey head sides
- Whitish underparts
Distribution
Africa: found from South Ethiopia to southern Somalia, north-eastern Uganda and south-eastern Kenya
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Bushy savanna with trees. Semi-desert scrub.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists almost entirely of small insects. They feed up in the canopy or in bushes. Mostly alone, but sometimes with a few others.
Breeding
Their nest is a small cup constructed from grass, built by both the adults.
