The Calm After The Storm. (1 Viewer)

;) Well after yesterdays gales and downpours, this morning
was back to feed while we can. When will blackbirds learn
they would be much better spending their time feeding than
chasing each other all over the garden!!
there are 4 migrants mixing or trying to with our own at the
moment. the robin still will not let the chaffinches settle to
feed!! blue tit and great tit numbers on the up, nice to see,
coal tits in good form and numbers.

Blackbirds mixed with migrants .

these were seen between 7am-830am then left for martin-mere.

That's a good showing for 1.5 hours....

Things still pretty quiet in my garden...

I did a count.

Blue tits 2
Great tits 1
coal tits 1
collared doves 4
robin 1
starlings 20+
house sparrows 15+
Blackbirds 2.
Bloody Pigeons 5
these were seen between 7am-9am Saturday on and off.
Like Ruby things are pretty quiet at present and all these tend to turn up at more or less the same time or after the others have gone then very little for a long time. Haven't seen any finches for a while.

I went to Martin Mere on Sunday as you said on another thread that would be the best day for the weather and spent £15 on bird food, sunflower hearts, de-husked mixed seed, and some niger seed all in effort to try and get some activity. I'll let you know if it improves the visits.
Had a good day by the way although it was busy.
