As part of the Seabird Monitoring Programme, two new JNCC reports have been published, detailing results of research from the Isle of Canna, in the Sea of the Hebrides in western Scotland and the Isle of May, in the Firth of Forth in southeast Scotland. The Monitoring Programme has been designed to assess population changes and breeding success of selected species of seabird at a range of colonies.
