Hi staying at minehead this weekend with some friends and wondered if anyone could tell me some good places to go for a spot of birding. I have got a car but think that maybe somewhere near would be a good idea as drink will be flowing so think I may not be legal haha.
Grateful for any advise

Thanks
Gill

North Hill is a good spot, a strenuous walk from Minehead or a short if steep drive to the car park. Dartford Warblers have been seen here. Also Horner Woods, need to drive but not too far, good for dippers. Also right on the doorstep is the beach, turn right out of Butlins and walk down towards Golf Club. Footpath leads to beach, walk along beach for miles, waders may be a bit distant when low tide.
