Sulawesi vs Flores/Yogakarta region for lightweight birders (1 Viewer)

So I am about ready to switch off my notion of hitting Sulawesi for an easy going week near Manado and maybe down to the Togians in large part b/c when I try to find birds listed in some reports they are not even found in my Robson Birds of SE Asia. I will have plenty to do with fg in hand to id what I am seeing so I think I would be very frustrated...so with a week between Singapore and Denpasar I am wondering about trying Flores or perhaps central Java meaning Yogakarta area for some birding. And sight-seeing with my wife. Any thoughts would be appreciated. And when I say an easy going week that references my being a pretty lightweight birder....
