Just a FYI for any AZ folks in Phoenix area. There is a Western Screech Owl in a Cactus that is almost 100% reliable. The Docents can point it out...

Otherwise, got up the People of the Sonoran Desert, at the first corral, there is a marked rock on the ground. Look towards the pond from the rock, there are two Saguaros. The right side on has two small growths on top. The gray thing sticking out of the second hole down is a Western Screech Owl.

Also at Papago Park next door in the main duck ponds is a male Hooded Merganser, SUPER tame...
